lyrics
I’m a big noise at the Sierra club, I’ve hiked the Appalachian trail, I’ve stood on top of Denali, I really don’t know how to fail
It’s the altitude not the attitude, it was a most beguiling flyer, but you can stand on top of the world coz’ the yellow brick road got higher
Here I am, with the lawyer and the scientist, the Republican evangelist, on the shoulder of the sky
All these freaks, well they’re ruining my appetite, here’s the money honey socialite
I’m a heartbeat from the top, I turn around and then, when I get to the bottom I am never going up again
Caught in the gridlock on the Hilary Step, and only three hundred feet to go, and there’s no app on the I-phone that can save me from the snow
Nobody told me I could be this cold, should have read the fine print way back when, and I wonder if I’ll ever see my wife and kids again
All used up, hope the Sherpas get me out of here, I’m at the mercy of the troposphere, damn it I can hardly crawl
Jesus Christ, I’m not one of those Tibetan guys, you said that I’d acclimatise, and a heartbeat from the top I turn around and then
When I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom
When I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom
When I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom
When I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom, when I get to the bottom

Fantasy progressive rock is not something I'd ever thought of. Yet Foreign Land, especially the Foreign Land track itself, transported me straight into an unknown, magical fantasy world. Hakim Zulkufli
Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016

Wonderful, beautiful, densely layered music. I'm glad I gave this album several headphone listens before commenting. It did not immediately strike a chord with me, but the more I listened the more I began to understand and appreciate how fantastically rich and deep the sound is. For fans of atmospheric and melodic prog, this is an excellent addition. Bass and drum work are exquisite! paliojen_black
